What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Local storage works the same way. We keep both to the minimum: the site needs a few to work, and anything else stays off until you switch it on.
Categories
- Essential. Remembers this choice and keeps Studio sign-ins secure. The site can’t work without these.
- Functional. Plays videos embedded from YouTube and Vimeo. Those services set their own cookies once a video loads.
- Analytics. Google Analytics tells us which pages people read, so we can improve them. Off unless you switch it on.
We don’t use advertising or marketing cookies.

Changing or withdrawing your choice
Open (also at the bottom of every page) and switch any category off. Withdrawing is as easy as agreeing. When you switch Analytics off, we delete the Google Analytics cookies on this site and reload the page. When you switch Functional off, videos go back to their placeholder.
YouTube and Vimeo set some cookies on their own domains, and we can’t reach those from here. To remove them, clear cookies for youtube.com, google.com and vimeo.com in your browser settings.
How long we keep your choice
Your choice is stored in the cs_consent cookie for 12 months, and we ask again when it expires or when this policy changes. We also keep a record of each choice (a random ID, the policy version, what you chose, the time and a one-way fingerprint of your network address, never the address itself) for [to be provided], so we can show we respected it.
