Owner dashboard
(01) The brief
Stock lived across several stores. Every movement (goods arriving, moving between stores, leaving through the gate) had to be recorded once and seen by the right person.
Kankatala, a premium retailer since 1943, needed goods to move between its stores with a record at every step: who scanned it in, who moved it, who let it out.
That meant one system across web, mobile and API, with role-based access for owners, managers, staff and security.
(02) What we built
(03)01 · Next.jsWeb dashboardRole-based dashboards. Owners see every store at once; managers see their own stock and transfers.
02 · Node.jsAPIOne source of truth. Every scan, pass and transfer lands here and flows out to the right screen.
03 · React NativeMobile appOn the floor: barcode scanning, gate passes and inter-store transfers in the hands of staff and security.
(03) How it runs: one carton, start to finish
(04) · loops every 12s- 01 · Store staffMobile appScan inEvery carton is scanned with a phone, so it has a record from the moment it arrives.
- 02 · ManagerMobile + webStore transferStock moving between stores is scanned out at one end and in at the other.
- 03 · SecurityMobile appGate passSecurity scans the gate pass before goods leave. Nothing exits without a record.
